Amatrol Mechanical Drives 1 Learning System (Short Bench) - 950-ME1SB

Amatrol’s Mechanical Drives 1 Learning System (950-ME1SB) covers the operation, installation, performance analysis, and basic design of mechanical transmission systems using chains, v-belts, spur gears, bearings, and couplings. Learners will practice industry-relevant skills to prepare for real-world industrial applications in fields such as agriculture, automotive, mining, and many more. Additional panels are also available to extend the learning capabilities of the 950-ME1SB to provide the most extensive range of component coverage ever available for a mechanical trainer.

The 950-ME1SB includes a mobile workstation, motor control unit, mechanical transmission components, specialized tools, prony brake load device, and performance measurement instruments. This system uses industrial quality components to help assure that learners are better prepared for what they will encounter on the job and to withstand frequent student use. Learners will use these components to study major topics like key fasteners, power transmission systems, V-belt drives, chain drives, spur gear drives, and multiple shaft drives.

Operate, Install, Adjust, and Perform Analysis on Mechanical Drives

This system includes a variety of real-world mechanical drives components including a constant speed drive motor, variable speed motor, pillow blocks, riser kit, shim kit, test shafts, gear motor risers, sheave gauge, sprockets, digital tachometer, and many more! Constructed of heavy-duty welded steel, the system’s mobile workstation provides a precision-machined work surface made of tooling plate material to enable students to perform precise shaft alignments. Learners will use these components to practice hands-on skills like: install and adjust a pillow block antifriction bearing and shaft; use a belt tensioner tester to measure belt tension; install and remove a chain with a master link using a chain puller; determine the allowable backlash in a gear drive; and install and align a multiple shaft drive system.

Comprehensive Mechanical Drives Curriculum with Optional Multimedia Format

The 950-ME1SB’s curriculum covers the fundamentals of mechanical drives through topic areas such as: motor mounting; torque and power measurement; shaft alignment; belt tensioning; chain tensioning; gear drive designs; and sleeve couplings. The included curricula of printed learning activity packets are also available in an optional interactive multimedia format. Amatrol’s multimedia includes all of the theoretical knowledge of the printed curriculum with the addition of stunning 3D graphics, videos, audio voiceovers, and interactive quizzes and activities.

The 950-ME1SB includes a broad selection of learning systems to expand your mechanical drives curriculum and hands-on skill building. Additional systems include: Mechanical Drives 2, 3, and 4 (95-ME2, ME3, and ME4); Laser Shaft Alignment (95-ME2A); Roller Pack Machine Tool Axis (95-ME4-A); Plain Bearing Machine Tool Axis (95-ME4-B); Floor-Standing Belt Conveyor (95-ME4-D); Machine Tool Chip Conveyor (95-ME4-E); and Predictive Maintenance Vibration Analysis (95-ME5A).
